I am by no means a neat person. I want to be, but when it comes to cooking, I find that as I cook more and more recipes, my pantry and refrigerator are overflowing with different ingredients, some of which I’ve only needed to use once. And while organizing my pantry is a whole project in itself, to start 2024 off on the right foot, I decided it was finally time to make a change when it came to spices.  2022 Bento Lunch Box

And I’m so glad I did. Not only is organizing the spice drawer relatively low-lift, it’s beyond satisfying. In fact, with this now-$25 purchase, my spice cabinet has transformed from an eyesore into a spot I find myself gazing at like my favorite child time and time again.

It was actually my partner who ordered this set of 24 spice jars, and when it arrived, I was skeptical to say the least. Not just because $25 seemed a high price to pay for jars and labels (we already had those!) but because I couldn’t help but worry about how we’d transfer the onion powder without poisoning the dog or the turmeric without dying her fur a bright yellow.

Well, someone at this spice jar company deserves a raise because this set comes with a collapsible funnel that not only makes transferring spices to the glass jars easy, but is the only one I’ve tried that hasn’t jammed my kitchen tool drawer. With my spices all in identical glass jars, the only thing left to do was label them. This set comes with 160 labels, which is more spices than I thought existed. It turns out, it actually is, as some of them are blank, so you can jar up mixtures and label them (even a nice black pen is included).

As for the jars themselves, they hold 4 ounces of spices, are sleek, and have a nice wooden top that makes them feel a bit more luxurious than your run-of-the-mill jar. They all come with that classic spice jar cap for shaking, an item which I have removed as I find this ineffective when it comes to measuring out or even just adding spices to my cooking.

Now that I have an alphabetized, homogenous, organized drawer of spices, I’ve found myself not only wanting to cook more, but actually gravitating to a spot of my kitchen that I previously avoided like the plague. Some might even call it life changing.

If you want to transform your kitchen in 2024, maybe it’s best to start small. But trust me: This $25 purchase will make a huge impact. I know it changed my life.

At the time of publishing, the price was $25.
